Which membership should I choose? +
Learn Swedish is for beginners (A1–A2) who want clear explanations in English and help building a strong foundation in Swedish.
Slow Swedish is for intermediate and advanced learners (A2+) who want to listen to lots of Swedish and expand their vocabulary and understanding.
Speak Swedish is for learners at A2+ who also want to practice speaking and get personal feedback from me.
What’s included in each membership? +
Learn Swedish gives you access to all Learn Swedish episodes and study materials. Slow Swedish includes Learn Swedish plus the full Slow Swedish library and new episodes throughout the week. Speak Swedish includes everything in Learn and Slow, plus weekly speaking exercises and personal feedback.
You can see the full comparison on the Membership page.
Why do Learn Swedish and Slow Swedish cost the same? +
They’re designed for different levels and different ways of learning. Learn Swedish is made specifically for beginners, with explanations in English and a slower introduction to the language. Slow Swedish gives you much more Swedish content and is designed for learners who are ready for it.
Keeping them as separate memberships also means beginners don’t get flooded with notifications for content that isn’t relevant to them.
Can I change my membership later? +
Yes! You can switch to a different membership through Patreon whenever you want.
Can I cancel anytime? +
Yes. There’s no commitment, and you can manage or cancel your membership through Patreon at any time. If you cancel, you’ll still have access to all your membership content until the end of your current billing period.

Where should I start? +
If you’re a beginner, start with The Basics in the Learn Swedish library. If you already understand some Swedish, explore the Slow Swedish library and choose an episode or topic that interests you. You don’t need to listen to the episodes in order.
What are Easy, Slow and Fast? +
They are three versions of the same main Slow Swedish episode. Easy uses simpler Swedish, Slow is the regular episode spoken more slowly, and Fast is the same episode at a more natural speed. You can choose the version that feels right for you – or listen to all three!
Where can I find transcripts and study materials? +
You’ll find the available study materials directly on each episode page. Depending on the episode, these can include transcripts, English translations, vocabulary, expressions and exercises.
Can I download the study materials? +
Yes! The study materials are available as downloadable PDFs, so you can save them and use them while you listen or study later.
How often is new content published? +
New Slow Swedish content is published throughout the week, with several episodes and exercises based around the same weekly topic. New Learn Swedish episodes are also published regularly.

How does Speak Swedish work? +
Every week, you’ll get a new speaking topic with prompts at three different difficulty levels. Choose the level that feels right for you, record your answer and submit it for feedback.
You’ll also get scripted example answers to help you find the words and expressions you need.
Do I have to attend live classes? +
No! There are no live classes or scheduled sessions. You can do the speaking exercises whenever it suits you, wherever you are in the world.
How do I submit my speaking exercises? +
You submit your speaking exercises in the private Speak Swedish community on Discord. Record your answer, post it there and I’ll listen to it and give you feedback.
Will Katrin personally give me feedback? +
Yes! I personally listen to your speaking exercises and give you detailed feedback in both text and audio. You can choose whether you want your feedback in Swedish or English.
Can I participate if I’m nervous about speaking Swedish? +
Absolutely. That’s exactly what Speak Swedish is for! You can start with the easiest prompts, use the scripted example answers for support and practice at your own pace. You don’t have to speak in front of a class or join a live call.
